14 May 2009 - Clive and Daphne in Calpe Again

Although it was Caple again, it was the other side of the Ifach Rock, and consequently a different view. We walked along the sea front from end to end, and then back for a nice drink watching the world go by.

10 May 2009 - Clive and Daphne in Parcent

On their second day we took Clive and Daphne into Parcent to show them the village, and so that they could walk down on their own if they wanted a break from us! In fact they seemed to quite enjoy it, and did so a couple of times.

We were surprised that Clive was in the pool so quickly. Its still much too cold for us. But he managed a swim most days, some times more than once.

9 May 2009 - Clive and Daphne in Calpe

This was Daphnes first visit to Parcent, and it got off to a poor start with a missed flight and a day spent at Luton. So it must have made a nice change to spend the first day on the sea front at Calpe.

The weather was overcast, but it did not stop her from having a paddle in the med.

11 May 2009 - Monday Club Benimeli

Not the best of weather for this lovely walk. It was cloudy when we met in the village, and got worse as we climbed to the summit. We were already in the cloud when we got to the picnic site, and it was quite cold. So we decided against going up to the aerials and on to the usual picnic site.

Instead we walked down the road and around the back of the hill. When we reached the spot where we begin to go downhill on the mosarabic trail it brightened a little, so we decided on lunch. We were entertained by a group of ants who carried seeds in a long parade around our feet.

By the time we reached the village it was much brighter, so we had our usual after walk drink in the cafe in the square.
